EXPANDING THE FIELD OF PARTICIPATION – a meeting around selected artivist actions
I start recognizing places with a walk. I travel along roads. I create my own map, marking points on it, measuring distances. The boundaries of the map shift. Sometimes we are in the center; other times we are thrown to the outskirts. They are marked by private topography. The topographer prepares reports from the place of events. Together with the participants of the meeting, I will draw grids. Everyone will be able to mark sections of their own stories. We will try to find points of contact in order to expand the field of participation.
Weronika Fibich – works with performative matter, on the border of reportage and documentary. Author of several dozen theatrical actions, performances, site-specific and formal experiments. Creator of artistic projects and documentary films. Anti-disciplinary artist. Since 1998 associated with the KANA Theater Center in Szczecin. In parallel to the cultural, educational and programmatic activities within the projects implemented by the Center, for years she has been building her own creative path. Her interests include activities carried out in the (extra)theatrical space. Her most frequent topics are the concepts of borderland, exclusion, (non)memory, identity and (hospitality) otherness. Lecturer at the Academy of Art in Szczecin (she co-runs the Social Film Workshop) and at the University of Szczecin (she ran drama workshops at the Writing Studies). She co-creates “Lokatorne” with Karolina Breguła – a place of anti-disciplinary activities. A place for the exchange of thoughts, knowledge and skills, joint reflection and collective work.
